ShareFinder Team

Gary Stone
Gary founded ShareFinder in 1995 and is responsible for the ongoing research of existing methodologies and new trading edges.
Gary has a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in computer science and mathematics. Before founding ShareFinder he had a technical and sales career in the IT industry that lasted 16 years. Gary immigrated to Australia from South Africa in 1986.
Trading and researching the markets since 1990, Gary is motivated by a conviction to help people do better.
Gary researched and designed the SPA Medium Term Trading System which was released in 1998 and is now known as the SPA3 Medium Term Methodology. He researched a second commercially available methodology, OSPREY, which was released in 2003 and in 2006 IntellEdgence for Long term active investment was released after many years of ongoing research.
Gary has been a contributor to Shares magazine, Personal Investor magazine, the ATAA Journal and has conducted many presentations to various organisations around Australia since 1998. Using SPA3 he has participated in 4 public year long trading contests in 1997, 1998, 2001 and 2002 - winning 3 of them.
Gary has a strong belief that being aware of something new through gaining knowledge is not enough to use it to your benefit. "People have to step into a process that ingrains the new knowledge into their being so that it can become a part of who they are".
Gary enjoys coaching his customers about trading and personally trades with all of ShareFinder's products including Market Master X-ec, OSPREY, SPA3 and IntellEdgence.
